REMOTE SHOOTING – is one of the new things this pandemic has introduced to us this year of 2020 (who would have thought, right?) and could also be a production nightmare (yikes!)

リモート撮影 は、2020年のコロナ禍で初めて導入した撮影方法の１つ（誰がこの状況を想像できたでしょう……？）。プロダクション業務の悪夢に繋がりかねないものでもあります（！）

This is an untouched territory for most of us, if not all, and is pretty challenging doing it for the first time.

リモート撮影はほどんどの人にとって未知であり、初めて試す時はかなり試行錯誤することになりそうです。

Although a lot of people have managed to use different kinds of platforms such as the infamous Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Hangout etc. and are able to connect and broadcast through a professional camera, these apps aren’t specifically made for this type of situation…yet.

多くの人が、Zoom、Microsoft Teams、Google Hangoutなどさまざまなプラットフォームを使用し、プロのカメラを介して接続・配信することができますが、これらのアプリはまだリモート撮影のために特別に作られてはいません……。

Some of the challenges that we encountered along the way are either the client is concerned with security matters, is not user-friendly enough (gallery-view, verbal communication etc.,) or it basically just doesn’t do the job.

いくつか直面した課題として、クライアントがリモート撮影のセキュリティ体制を警戒していること、ユーザーが十分にソフトを理解できていないこと（ギャラリービュー、口頭でのコミュニケーションなど）、これらのソフト自体がリモート撮影に向いていないことなどが見えてきました。

After a couple of tries, we’ve somehow managed to handle our shoots in different ways depending on the client’s need – remotefilming.com, ZOOM, Microsoft Teams.

何度か試行錯誤した結果、クライアントのニーズに応じて、remotefilming.com、ZOOM、Microsoft Teamsなどを使用し、さまざまな方法で撮影ができるようになりました。

– Capture card

They have been quite difficult to get your hands on even in rental houses due to high demand so we purchased our own Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Mini Recorder (2 of them!)

キャプチャーカードは需要が高くレンタルでもなかなか手に入れることができなかったもの。この度、Blackmagic Design UltraStudioミニレコーダーを2台購入しました！

– multi viewer *if applicable only
マルチビューワー ※該当する場合のみ

– LONG cables (HDMI, thunderbolt, extension cords etc.) – and I can’t stress that enough especially if you’re on location, we suggest preparing spare cables and at least 3-5m long

少なくとも3〜5mの長いケーブル（HDMI, thunderbolt, 延長コードなど）と、特にロケ地にいる場合は、予備ケーブルを用意することをお勧めします。

– laptop – for hosting streaming so you won’t have to bother your other creative companions

ノートパソコン – ストリーミング用に別途PCを持つことで、DOPなど他のスタッフの作業を止めることはありません。

– STABLE internet connection
安定したインターネット環境

If you’re in a studio that is below ground level for example, might be good to have a strong WiFi router (gaming router recommended) / even better to directly connect LAN for smooth streaming.

もし地下のスタジオにいれば、強力なWiFiルーター（ゲーミングルーター推奨）が必要でしょう。 又は、LANを直接接続してスムーズにストリーミングができるようにします。

Reserve a pocket WIFI dedicated for streaming only when on location.
ロケーション撮影の場合は、ストリーミング専用のポケットWiFiを手配します。
